Tim is currently Senior Lecturer of Branding and Digital Media at Middlesex University. He holds a PhD from University of Westminster and his research background explores digital content creation, creativity and new mediums of distribution, accessibility, interactivity and online sharing, particularly through social media. Tim places importance on linking student projects to industry partners to help prepare them for the workplace and is currently conducting research into work-based learning and Higher and Degree Apprenticeships. Currently External Examiner for London Metropolitan University MA Digital Media programme and BA (Hons) Professional Studies (Creative Industries) for De Montfort University/Leicester College.

Prior to this he developed a work-based learning degree as well as lecturing on the BA (Hons.) Web Media Production at Ravenbourne. Tim's PhD explored digital content creation and online sharing and creativity. In 2008 he completed an M.A. in Digital Media that investigated the use of online creative repositories and new mediums of distribution, accessibility and interactivity on the internet.
Previous to his academic roles, Tim managed creative teams in design agencies, creative services departments and for terrestrial and satellite television companies for over 24 years. During this time he worked with a variety of high-level corporate, broadcasting and music industry clients and acquired a wide-range of skills and experience that includes the conceptualisation and production of promotional and branding campaigns, graphic and moving image design across different media platforms.
