Competent knitwear expert fully, experienced in implementing and, teaching design interpretation., Working closely with luxury and, leading high street fashion brand, designers on concept ideas and, catwalk pieces.I can draft and, constuct intricate high fashion, knitted garments using hand,, domestic and V-bed Dubied, knitting machines.

Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 1986, I have developed knit for a wide range of international clients for both the Luxury sector and new designers. I specialise in translating design lead concepts into innovative knit garments by working closely with design teams to fully resolve their initial ideas into garments, art pieces, furniture etc. My practice focus is stitch construction and manipulation. I have taught practical knitting skills and design for knitwear at Adult Education and Higher Education level for 27 years. My current research interests include investigating Transylvanian embroidery and developing an integrated three layer knitted fabric in collaboration with London College of Fashion.
