Maeve is a Senior Lecturer in Natural Sciences with interests in bridging the gap between academia and practice in the fields of sustainability, health and safety. Prior to joining the university as an academic she worked as a sustainability and safety practitioner in high risk and built environment domains in both consulting and managerial roles. She runs the PIPER initiative with the IOSH London Metropolitan Branch partnering university learning to real world practitioner challenges. She is currently researching the potential for adaptive safety principles to be applied to construction supply chains in support of social sustainability.
