As an experienced researcher with over seventeen experience in the study of the effect of plant compounds on biological systems (the study of pharmacognosy), I have also engaged in diverse areas of research. My research areas include cancer (leukaemia and colorectal cancer), Alzheimer’s disease, as well as the study of genetic polymorphism in type 2 diabetes, biomarker studies in Downs syndrome and Alzheimer's disease. My research involves using cell culture techniques and various analytical techniques, including flow cytometry, fluorescence and absorbance spectrophotometry, confocal microscopy, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, among others, in my research.
