Abstract
This is an attempt to classify the crimes of the powerful starting from the premise that there is a continuum between licit and illicit conduct. The author defines several categories of these types of crime basing his typology on specific case studies. While some of these are examples of unorthodox conduct in the political and the economic spheres, some others are the result of partnerships between official actors and members of criminal organisations.
