Abstract
Discussion includes the effects of the Coalition government on Labour's prospects; whether Labour will be able to continue to attract the middle classes to its alliance; the extent to which Labour will be able to admit that its time in government, in particular its commitment to neoliberalism, was damaging to its own interests; whether there has been a major shift of political alignment; the nature of neoliberal hegemony from Thatcherism to the present day; the need for economic reform; prospects for Labour revival.
