Abstract

This paper describes the development of a compact high frame rate passive electrical impedance tomography system. The injected current amplitude and frequency can be adjusted to fit any EIT application. Measured results show that the system is capable of high frame rate of 89 fps and has power consumption of 1.7 W. It has automatic gain control that reduces noise and improves the quality of the measured EIT image. A comparison is made with other EIT systems to show the potential of the developed system.
