Abstract

Organisations are often very good at identifying workplace risks and also good at setting up HR processes which build in the role of line management in managing employees with processes to report upwards.

The assumption is that those in senior positions appreciate and understand the issues. This presentation, part of a broader IOSH webinar into wellbeing, raises the challenge that this ignores the role of corporate psychopaths- or how organisational design can enable and reward such behaviour.
2% of men and 0.5% of women (assigned at birth) appear to have such behaviour and are attracted to senior roles.

This presentation opens the door for IOSH Members to discuss with CIPD (HR) members such issues to consider how to develop control measure.
