Abstract
This lecture looks at the punk rock Hare Krishnas and the apparent contradictory lifestyle between the sacred and punk. Is it fitting to sing about God whilst in a punk band? Is it appropriate to incorporate religious text into lyrical subject matter?! Can a Hare Krishna monk also be a punk?
