Abstract
This article reports some research that asks the question 'Within the current climate of change, how do anaesthetic nurses perceive their role?'Impetus for the study came from the author's personal experience as both a nurse within theatres, and an educator of nurses. The paper was presented at the conference of the European Operating Room Nurses Association (EORNA) in Crete in April 2003.
