Library dances [performed in Cyprus].
Lee, Rosemary (2009) Library dances [performed in Cyprus]. [Performance]
Abstract
Lee was commissioned to make a dance work for the site specific dance festival in Limassol. She was the first international guest choreographer to be invited to this festival. Working with ten professional Cypriot dance artists she created a promenade work that took the audience through the new library of the new University. A central concern of the work was the search for methods appropriate to the context of 'the new' - an unused space, with its unopened text books, which required processes of populating and familiarising.
