Abstract
Dr Doirean Wilson conducted ground-breaking research that explored multicultural meanings of respect that helped to address conflict among diverse business teams that nurtured harmony and improved performance. Dr Wilson created vibrant paintings to map her research journey as it emerged, used to design a range of couture gowns. The aim is to demonstrate that respect is an important value for all regardless of gender, age, appearance, colour, race or culture that can be experienced internally and seen externally. Her study revealed that respect in one culture can mean disrespect in another, hence the need to understand what it means.
