Abstract

(de)figured works on the premise of a performance event that responds to the environment in which it is re-housed. Previous iterations were at Westworks in collaboration with Elephant Magazine, Royal Society of Sculptors, and most recently in Dubai as part of Alserkal Lates, an opening of the season for which all galleries were open. (de)figured was performed a number of times throughout the evening in and around Alserkal Avenue. The work also incorporated a new sculpture by Nathaniel Rackowe. This was a commission from Alserkal Lates.

The work is performed by Martina Conti and Alice Labant.
