Abstract
The MacPherson report on the Stephen Lawrence enquiry has been described as a "watershed policy". It condemned the inefficiencies in the investigation of the crime and introduced the concept of "institutional racism". At the anniversary of the report's publication, this book brings together professionals and academics to reflect upon the effects of MacPherson and the responses to it. It offers a critical evaluation and contributions to good practice and policy.
