Abstract

The presentation will explore the notion of compassion in nursing through the cultural lens and introduce the ‘Papadopoulos model for developing culturally competent and compassionate healthcare professionals’. It will present the key findings of the 1st on-line international conference on the topic as well as some preliminary findings from the 2nd international on-line survey which focused on compassion and nursing managers. It will specifically provide the emerging picture from the Colombian sample of nurse managers.
