Abstract

12 min pilot that demonstrates 'proof of concept' of a full sitcom series based on a script awarded third at the 2016/17 Cannes Screenplay Contest in the TV Comedy Pilot category. The process of the script edit demonstrates what needs to be cut or put in to maintain narrative “closure” (I argue it is through the object) and how that alters the original script yet maintains the comedy and demonstration for potential.
