Abstract
This research project was undertaken as a response to the compelling need for coaching to firmly establish itself as a profession of the highest standing. Supervision has been a way of ensuring best practice since the beginning of the twentieth century. The practice of coaching supervision is a new field of application and has thus far drawn on supervision models imported from other helping professions, or from specific models of coaching.
