Abstract
This evaluation was commissioned by Dementia Club UK in March 2016 for an independent examination of the impact of their local provision on people living with dementia and their carers in the community. It used a qualitative methodology and data was captured from 1) table top discussions with people at the cafe 2) in-depth individual interviews with 6 carers and 6 people involved in the delivery of the cafe. Recommendations are made about the high value of community based services based on the Dementia Cafe model which complement more traditional dementia provision.
