Abstract
From the first day when BAcC members qualify, they are required to apply the education standards prescribed by the Council to the care of patients. For the past 20 years, leading UK acupuncture teaching institutions (TIs) follow the educational standards set out by the BAcC and which the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB) accredit against.
These standards have evolved over time, and the current standards are contained in the SETA 2011 – Standards of Education and Training for Acupuncture. The SETA sets the highest standards of acupuncture education and training in the UK.
