Abstract
This book, which is the fourth in the ‘How Children Learn’ series, is concerned with inclusive practice within early years settings. The first part of the book considers the contribution made by a range of educational theorists who have influenced current ideas about how young children learn and develop, with a particular focus on how practitioners can support children with additional needs. In the second part of the book, different topics are explored, which are highly influential in promoting inclusive practice. Each section in the book includes guidance on further reading and links are made between the different sections and with other books in the series.
