Abstract
A drawing, commissioned by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, Landscape and Environment Programme to contextualise the commissioned soundwork, "Warplands" by Professor Mike Pearson, produced at the Alkborough Flats Tidal Defence Scheme in 2010. This output was commissioned to examine the Humber Estuary and its propensity for flooding and flood risk management. The context for this was the contribution to the Chairman's Plenary Session at Royal Geographic Conference 2011, "Cartographic Imaginations" and the film "Imagining Change; Coastal Conversations" also for AHRC.
