Published to celebrate the bicentenary of Uvedale Price’s Essay on the Picturesque and Richard Payne Knight’s poem The Landscape, this booklet considers the role of text and images in the development and spread of the Picturesque ideal and the influence this had on the architecture and landscape of the late Georgian era.
