Abstract

Selected show from an international entry, series of seven prints - relief laser cut works in the series New Body. Images were created in the computer and autographicly worked,then laser cut into industrail plywood board then printed by the medieval relief print process. We carry the primitive within yet we use lasers to carry out fine operations and treatments not thought possible in my childhood but in science fiction. The subject matter came from a period where I became chronically ill. We commit the thought crime of not admitting to our irrational fears and emotive reactions to modern medicine yet still crave the human touch and chosen words.
