Abstract

This publication reports on work conducted as part of a collaboration with St Mary's hospital at Imperial College, and was funded by Medical Research Council. A novel computer algorithm was developed for the measurement of retinal geometries automatically, paving the way for studying cardiovascular and hypertension diseases in vivo. This represented a major step forward at that time. The work resulted in the award of an EPSRC funded research project on the development of medical image databases (GR/N38725).
