This case examines the capability-based growth challenges of web design start-up, Chameleon Net, during the period 2004 to 2009. It demonstrates the importance of resources and capabilities in achieving competitive success and in enabling the organisation to pursue the strategic opportunities required for growth. It can be used as the basis for conducting an internal analysis of an organisation as part of a strategy class and/or to examine the growth challenges of entrepreneurial firms.
This is a case which is designed for teaching and is accompanied by a separate teaching note.
June 2011: name changed to Chameleon.
