This provides examples of sustainable environmental management using wetlands. The author advised on the design, operation and monitoring of the UK and Malaysian examples. Water pollution control functions are complemented by habitat creation and landscaping. The Malaysian example is considered to be the largest constructed wetland stormwater treatment system globally.
