Abstract

Sandman is contemporary adaptation of E.T.A. Hoffmann’s 19th century gothic story The Sandman for a solo performer, fusing storytelling, physicality and puppetry.
The performance was created by performer Adie Mueller (Antje Diedrich) and playwright/director Mike Carter. They developed Sandman collaboratively through an exploratory devising process, involving movement, improvisation and writing.
