Abstract

Web site documenting a project involving collaboration between artist Dr.Loraine Leeson and biophysical chemist Dr. Nithin Rai to support biodiversity in the River Thames. It shows how floating reed beds have been constructed along the Tamesis Dock barge, situated opposite Tate Britain on the site of the original Lambeth Marshes. The project promotes the 'greening' of the shored up banks of the river, while providing a sheltered habitat for river organisms and serves as a pilot for how biodiversity conservation can be expanded along the inner city reaches of urban rivers. Images of the organisms are projected along the embankment during September 2015.
